Maneuvers in England and Scotland are realistic-to put it mildly-as soldiers and home guards train for every eventuality. During these Scottish home guard maneuvers, a "nursemaid" who was placeably wheeling a baby carriage, suddenly whipped out a pistol and killed the outpost who challenged. But other soldiers in the vicinity let loose a volley that put an end to the spy who had hoped to get to the rear of the homeguard lines and disrupt the defense works until attacking troops came to this scene in havoc and "death" when the shooting died down.
